NINI NEWNU LLC started with a need for a pair of white simple earrings; pretty simple… Or so I thought.

Well, when you’re ballin’ on a budget, recently separated from work due to Covid; I saw myself presented with a few different options:

• Buy a pair of earrings outside of my budget; there were many earrings that season which caught my eye, but nothing held my attention or gave me buyers remorse.

• Shop until either my legs went numb from walking or zombie eyes from scrolling until the end of time.

• Or perhaps … Make them? I mean how difficult could it be?!

For as long as I can remember, fashion has been my calling: I used to change my outfit 3-5 times a day as a child (sorry mom), play with paper dolls, and of course dress my Barbie in the most bizarre ensembles. You can call me materialistic, try to dumb me down to a fashion girly, and say that I have no understanding of the real world/ real jobs. Sure, fashion is my hobby; but I’m not one of those girls who’s had everything handed to ‘em on a silver platter.

I am originally from the Bay 🫶🏽, but I was raised in Sacramento, CA. the hype is within me and it comes out in style, lingo, and choice of music. As far as an understanding of the world, I’ve had my fair share of lifes ups and downs; I have been on my own since I was seventeen. I’ve seen some things, experienced some things, have many I wish I hadn’t(s), Oh I am so GLAD I did that, and so-on; but those are stories for another day.

I graduated from The Art Institute of California - Los Angeles with an Associates in Fashion/Apparel Design. I’ve worked in fashion for more than a decade! Usually whenever I wanted something apparel related; I’d source fabric, get to pattern making, and then to my sewing machine. After 10 years in the fashion world, nothing was impossible to replicate or refresh.

The white earrings to the right (above if you are viewing this from your mobile device) are the end result of a need I had, which became my business, henceforth challenging me to invest in myself, make that money back plus some.
